On 7 Pm, 19thAugust, the live streaming of 4th819 Battery Festival and World Battery Industrial Expo was held successfully.
Due to the global pandemic, this year’s 819 Battery Festival was held online by live streaming. The attending guests include the Vice Chairman of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Ma P’ei-hua; The President of China Battery Industry Association, Liu P’ao-sheng; The Founding Chairman of World Electromobile Association, Chen Ch’ing-ch’uan; The Chairman of Tianneng Co., Ltd. Although the festival was held online, our guests were still passionate in their discussion.
Low-carbon travel make live better
The 4th819 Battery Festival is devoted to build an equal, open, and innovative platform thus to gather different wisdoms in new-energy industry and accelerate its development. This year’s theme for Battery Festival is “Innovation Enabler And Low-carbon Transportation Motivator”. We hope to share our opinions and discuss with our guests on various topics including the trend of global new-energy development, the chances and challenges of Chinese new-energy enterprises under the background of global energy transition.
From which we have two key words: innovation and low-carbon.
On the aspect of innovation, the 4th819 Battery Festival demonstrated a promising blueprint of “innovation make life better”. In order to achieve mutual benefit, Tianneng always focus on technology innovation by making ecological plans in 5 major aspects and blueprints of “new ecology + new techs + new pattern”.
On the aspect of low-carbon travel, Tianneng had shown its efforts and resolution to achieve emission peak and carbon neutrality. In Zhejiang and Henan province, Tianneng serve as role models by establishing recycling industrial park which adopted the most advanced technology of full-automatic mechanical disruption, hydro separation, regeneration by continuous melting in pure oxygen low temperature converter. These technologies could recycle wasted batteries, protect the environment while reducing the perniciousness of batteries.
On the aspect of energy conservation and pollution reduction, Tianneng’s power batteries had been providing great help. According to figures, if 80% of motorbikes and 20% of cars are electrified, we could reduce CO2 emissions by 130 million tons——equal to planting 370 million of larches. What’s more, we could save about 40 million tons of gasoline, that’s 15% of Chinese consumption of refined oil in 2018.
Besides, Tianneng had applied green concept of development to the whole life circle of our products by ecological design, clean production, and circulative recycle. In 2019, Tianneng was granted 6 of the state and province-level awards, including Green Factory, Smart Factory, Smart Workshop and so on. Tianneng also has 4 state and province-level major projects which past the acceptance successfully, including a green production system.
Today, energy technology is widely believed to be the breach point of the next round of tech and industrial revolution, which give prominence to Tianneng’s 819 Battery Festival even more. In order to achieve our ecological goal and adapt to the new home and aboard situation, and to follow the high-quality developing path to build a beautiful China, it is required to combine the whole industry to gather our power and wisdom.
Tianneng, marching to its new goal
As the leading enterprise of Chinese battery industry, Tianneng has been devoting to power battery for 35 years. Tianneng had gone through 3 times of technical changes of lead accumulator. In the past years, Tianneng always stick to balanced, steady, and sustainable development, kept honor “made in China” for years in building a home-and-aboard circulation system.
While kept our leading role on lead accumulator, Tianneng had been following the path of diversity and rational development. In terms of industry strategy and our own survival, they are of great significant.
In terms of lithium battery, Tianneng has been cooperating with an old brand French company, SAFT. The newly established Tianneng-SAFT is expanding on the field of mini electronic car, with a steadily growing market share. Different with most of lithium battery companies, Tianneng chose to develop consumption type of lithium battery——an To C strategy with less risk.
In terms of hydrogen energy, Tianneng has been introducing international talents to improve the research ability. Now, Tianneng’s hydrogen fuel cell has been accepted by state authorities. It is well-function under minus 30 degrees and highly recognized by experts. In hydrogen energy field, Tianneng has been cooperating with Geely, Skywell and Yadea.
In terms of energy storage, Tianneng had finished many demonstration project including State Grid’s 12MW/48MWh lead-carbon energy storage project in Zhi Cheng City, 100KW/500KWh optical storage micro-grid lithium battery energy storage system in Tsing Dao City. All projects above are well-functional.
As a “newcomer” in power battery industry, Tianneng has a promising future.
Epilogue
In the field of lead battery, Tianneng an experienced "veteran"; In lithium, energy storage, hydrogen energy, Tianneng is a potential unlimited "newcomer". This newcomer has a number of reserve techs, has its own unique advantages in energy storage. While maintaining its leading role on lead battery, Tianneng is expected to become a future star in lithium, hydrogen energy, energy storage and other directions.
2021 is the first year of the 14th Five-Year Plan, and the beginning year for moving towards the goal of “emission peak and carbon neutrality” proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping. In such a key year of change, as the source of power of the industry, Tianneng is also taking practical actions to express its determination to work together with the industry and forge ahead.
Tianneng will continue to work with all consumers and suppliers——which I prefer the term “mutual winners”——to help China take the lead in the global green and low-carbon transition and add new impetus into the early realization of the dual-carbon goal.
