World Trade Centre 3 Tops Out in the Heart of Jakarta's CBD
- Received Gold standard certification from Building and Construction Authority (BCA) Green Mark
- Awarded as The Best Office Development on Indonesia Property Award 2015, held by Ensign Media Co. Ltd.
JAKARTA, Indonesia, April 12, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- World Trade Centre 3 (WTC 3) is the latest development on the prestigious WTC Complex, located at Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Jakarta. WTC 3 will complement the existing buildings in the complex and moves forward the vision of Jakarta Land's joint owners, PT Central Cipta Murdaya (CCM) and Hongkong Land, to create the best business address in Jakarta's Central Business District. The topping out is celebrated today through a ceremony held in front of the construction site.
"With its high-tech construction and environmental certification, World Trade Centre 3 is the most modern commercial building in Indonesia. The substantial investment we have made in the building reflects CCM's confidence in the Indonesian economy," says Karuna Murdaya, Director of PT Central Cipta Murdaya.
Designed by an award-winning British architectural firm, Aedas and constructed by Balfour Beatty Sakti Indonesia who has been in Indonesia for 35 years, the 42-storey WTC 3 building will be within walking distance to the nearest underground Mass Rapid Transport (MRT) station, scheduled for operation in early 2019. As with MRT construction, the WTC 3 building will be a big beneficiary of the US$ 1.7 billion rail-based MRT megaproject with the capacity for up to 173,000 passengers per day.
After the construction commenced in November 2013, the 73,000 square metres of WTC 3 is scheduled to be completed in early 2018. The luxurious designed building at WTC 3 will include the latest security systems for tenants, technical features such as double-glazing, LED lighting, raised floors, high-speed lifts, and a high-tech building management system. To support the office there will be 5-levels of basement parking facility and a 4-storey retail podium.
"We look forward to Jakarta Land continuing its development of the World Trade Centre Complex, in order to cater to the growing demand from multinational corporations and leading Indonesian companies, also strengthening the World Trade Centre Complex's position as the centre of the banking, financial services and international business sectors in Indonesia," says Rob Garman, Executive Director - South Asia of Hongkong Land.
WTC 3 has received Gold standard certification from BCA Green Mark. This award recognises the efforts made by developers to encourage sustainable design practices such as energy and water efficiency. WTC 3 has also been awarded as The Best Office Development on Indonesia Property Award 2015, held by Ensign Media Co. Ltd. WTC Complex -- currently consisting of WTC 1, 2, 5, 6 and soon WTC 3, is home to many major international and Indonesian companies and organisations.
